Hi and welcome to the Joyful Journeys of Teige!

My name is Teige Morrell. I was born in Dubai, UAE and I am the daughter of my Zimbabwean mother and my American father who met in Australia, got married and flew all across the globe together before settling down in the United States of America – forever instilling the travel bug in me. My three brothers were also born in different countries: Australia, Cypress and America.

Why so much traveling you may ask? Well, my mom was simply an adventurer at heart and used modeling and fitness instructing to take her all across the world and, as for my dad, after playing junior college basketball at New Mexico Military Institute and then going on to graduate as a Baylor Bear, he coached and played basketball professionally for 14 years. I graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Sociology in 2018. As you can imagine, basketball also runs in my veins and I played at Nevada for all 4 years of college.

Today, I am married to the best man in the world, David Morrell, who also happens to be an awesome basketball coach, as well as a teacher! We love getting to travel the world while pursuing our basketball dreams together. As you’ll soon discover, Jesus is our motivator and basketball is the mission He’s given us!
